Road Recce
18” x 24” Painted in 1977
Designed and built by Lockheed during the latter part of World War II, the F-80 Shooting Star became the first operational all-jet fighter for the USAF. Although it was built to be an interceptor, its job during the Korean War was as a ground attack aircraft as depicted in this painting. From this design came the popular T-33 trainer.
