Piper Apache, Everybody’s Twin

The Piper Apache of 1954 marked the entry into the field of light twin engine executive aircraft for Piper Aircraft Corporation. Designed to provide individual pilots and American business with fast economical twin engine transportation, the all metal Apache was a relatively low cost and easily flown aircraft. It provided a natural step up to twin engine flight and played an important role in developing general aviation.
