The Boeing 247D

The Boeing 247, first flown in February 1933, was the first modern all metal, low wing, twin engine airliner, which replaced strut and wire braced biplanes on the nation’s airline routes. The pioneer Boeing 247 began the competition for both speed and comfort for America’s traveling public.
