First produced by Beech Aircraft Corporation in 1933, the elegant five seat Beechcraft 17 offered businessmen a high cruising speed, a reasonable load capacity and the ability to use the grass flying fields of the day.  This 1946 Beech G17S Staggerwing was owned and flown by Robert O. Anderson, CEO of Atlantic Richfield Oil Company.
