The Richfield Eagle - Northrop Delta

The Richfield Oil Company purchased a Northrop Delta monoplane in the early 1930s and named it the Richfield Eagle.  The Delta was a six passenger corporate transport.  It was used primarily for executive travel as it had a cruising speed of approximately 200 miles per hour with a range of 1,250 miles.   

 

This same aircraft survives and in 1996 it was in the a Save -a-Connie hangar at the Kansas City downtown Airport.
